Job Title: Part-Time Teller (Member Service Representative)
Location: Stamford Healthcare Credit Union, Stamford, CT
Schedule: 20–25 hours/week (weekday shifts only; flexibility required to cover vacation and sick leave)
Summary
Stamford Healthcare Credit Union is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Part-Time Teller/Member Service Representative to assist members with financial transactions while delivering professional, personalized service. This role may serve as a primary point of contact for member needs during assigned shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and efficient member transactions (deposits, withdrawals, payments)
- Balance cash drawer and maintain transaction accuracy
- Open, close, and maintain member accounts; assist with payroll functions
- Help members identify products and services to support their financial goals
- Ensure security of cash, workspace, and confidentiality of member information
- Follow all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Support membership and loan growth efforts
- Assist with branch activities and outreach as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of cash handling experience required
- Customer service experience required; credit union or banking experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and math skills
- Comfortable with Windows-based systems and calculators (bilingual skills a plus)
- Professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
